A HALF-KNOWN STRANGER

A hint of innocence dwells in your eyes.

I know naughtiness is there,

Just hidden from me.

But I also know the kindness you possess

So can I move closer to your heart?

I want to see the real you.

I desire to make you smile

In the time of you and me,

And that lovely smile is lively

As it enlivens the poet I’m me.
